The East Village Comix Sampler is a zine started by Jennifer Blowdryer that prints comics from mostly New York artists and writers. Along with her graphic design sidekick Sarah Perry-Stout, Jennifer gathers personal and experimental work for the Comix Sampler from their illustrator and performer friends.
The first edition of the Sampler includes work by Ren and Stimpy animator Jim Smith, filmmaker Nick Zedd, downtown personalities JuggerNut, Bonnie Bonnell, Sarah Perry-Stout, Jennifer Blowdryer, Beppi, Darryl LaVare, Melody Doves, Corey Michael Smithson, Mary Reilly, Fly (creator of Peops), Jessica Delfino, Saint Rev. Jen, J.C. Del Gaizo, Jen from the Fools, Atticus Jones, and Itziar Barrio.
